If you could only recommend one place, where would it be and why?

  1. I’m staying close to home!
Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way, along the west coast, from Donegal to Cork, including my home county of Mayo. Endless beaches, cliffs, mountains; 5,000 years of history and, above all, the visitor will always receive a céad míle fáilte (a hundred thousand welcomes).

  2. I would recommend Wyoming. It has a beautiful National Park (Yellowstone) in which is filled with geysers and the weather is always so cool.

  3. Hocking Hills, Ohio. Yes, Ohio. This is a magical hidden gem. More specifically, the path along Old Man’s Cave is filled with stone bridges, waterfalls, and everything you would imagine a faerie land to be. It is all State Park so you don’t have to pay to visit. Several beautiful trails and caves that would easily take 3-5 days to complete.

  4. I am so excited to go for an adventure to the Yorkshire Dales – a really modest adventure, but one which will require a car. I’m rereading the James Herriot books, and I want to stand on a dale and appreciate the ruggedness of the terrain for myself.

Is the photo of the Twelve Apostles in Cape Town?

  5. That is a big question. For me it has to be a place with clean water, nature, art, and friendly people. We have been blessed to visit many places like this. If I had to pick only one it would be the Canadian Coast of the Great Lakes. The people are GREAT!

  6. My own backyard. It’s funny, the military sent me to many places for me to discover but I never took the time to look at home. I live minutes from the Saint Louis Arch but it took me nearly 12 years to place my hand on it. I’m not to far from a place called The Garden of the Gods and yet it took 14 years to hike to it. I am learning to look where I am standing as a beautiful destination.
