The tree in front of the sand dunes is getting to be an iconic photo subject. I recognized it when first saw it. Not that I have been to Namibia, I have not. But I have been to several of the sand dune type places around here and we don’t have those dead looking trees in front of the dunes. We do have pure white dunes which are quite cool a couple of States over in New Mexico. And we do have regular dunes like the Namibia ones here in California but it seems like there are ATVs scrambling over much of them. Anyway, great shot, now I have to figure out some way to go to Namibia.

It’s one of the most wonderful countries. The people are so friendly and welcoming. There are so many things to see and experience. Something I think is underrated is Tommy Tours in Swakopmund. Everyone wants to experience the big 5 in Africa. Why not experience the small 5?

The hint of pink in this makes it even more naturally stunning. It reminds me of a Farrow & Ball paint!

Terrific composition – very dynamic. It’s great the way you’ve captured the lines. It’s also fantastic how the blue of the sky “bleeds” gently into the rose of the landscape.

Beautiful. Reminds me of my trip to Namibia in 2015. It was the most awesome trip ever and the Deadvlei was mesmerising. I’ve written extensively lively about that trip on my blog!

Desolate looking, yet there is a sort of beauty there as well. Where was this taken?

Like a surrealist painting. The Tree of Life left abused by humans. Sorry for the pessimism. Great photo.
