Singer Bruce Dickinson once won a Razzie award for “worst song”. He professed himself to be delighted, declaring that it is wonderful to be the best or the worst but that mediocrity was unbearable. And apparently, actor Bill Murray’s most devastating putdown was “You are a mediocre talent.”

This reminds me of the quote by Jiddu Krishnamurti “It is no measure of health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society.”

What a great quote. I recently watched a series, “The OA”, where they paraphrased this quote and I found it quite intriguing.

There was a film, well known in its time (1950’s? 60’s?) sympathetic to people with psychiatric problems. One line from it: “If you’re normal, who wants to be normal?”

Looking around at the world we live in today, I can think of absolutely no reason at all that I would want to be “normal” in the world as it is.

Haha! Hence why I’m growing longer hair and enjoying it while in my youth. Because someday soon I’ll have to face the inevitable. But, just like you, I wouldn’t mind looking like a Viking of sorts 😀
